Brunch With Santa's Elves

Brunch With Santa's Elves

If your holiday party includes kids, this whimsical look will keep your guests giggling. Bright reds and greens pop next to simple dinnerware. Garland greenery (faux or real) and simple red ornament balls hanging along windows, mantels, or light fixtures are festive touches in keeping with this casual style.

Centerpiece: Think big when purchasing a poinsettia plant—it will last for weeks and will be a striking centerpiece for all your holiday meals. This one is placed inside a green storage bin. If your container isn’t watertight, line it with a plastic garbage bag. Tuck in decorative moss to cover the plastic as needed.

Place settings: Green linen napkins echo the color palette, but white or red would work just as well. Holiday-themed mugs are inexpensive and easy to find—here, they add some personality to the basic dinnerware and are the perfect serving vessels for hot chocolate or hot apple cider. Santa hats can be placed underneath the plates as chargers or propped on top for guests to wear while they eat!

Party favors/place cards: You’ll find small armies of elf ornaments at most any store selling tree decorations. Purchase a set of your favorites, and use them as party favors as well as place card holders.
