MATERIALS
choice of muffin pan, soup cans, rimmed cookie sheet, or loaf pan
hammer and nail
white marble soil cover herb seeds or seedlings organic potting soil all-purpose plant food
HOW TO
Punch drainage holes in the bottom of the muffin tins or soup cans using a hammer and a nail or a 1⁄8-inch drill bit.
Fill containers with potting soil, then plant seeds or seedlings.
Secure containers in a bed of small marbles either on a rimmed cookie sheet or in a loaf pan. Note: This will absorb the drainage and serve as an oasis for the plants.
When spring arrives,move your plants outdoors into your garden.
