Sweet Easter Soirée
When the Easter ham or lamb has been put away this March 31, gather around a no-bake dessert buffet. Decorate prebaked cupcakes in pretty pastels; top a store-bought cheesecake with candies; and whip up a batch of easy Easter nests!
neat nests
In a small microwave-safe bowl, microwave one bag (16-ounce) white chocolate candy melts or white candy coating on medium for 11⁄2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Gently stir in 21⁄2 cups coarsely crushed bite-size shredded whole-wheat cereal biscuits until coated. Drop by scant 1⁄4 cups onto waxed paper. Shape into nests. Fill nests with jelly beans. Let stand for 30 minutes or until set.
lush & lovely
Add lushness to your Easter table with a combination of traditional pastels and saturated bright colors—fuschia, deep robin’s egg blue, sunny yellow, lime green, bright orange, and lavender.
candy crowned
An unadorned purchased cheesecake goes from simple to spectacular with a topping of pretty Easter candies. Good choices include malted eggs, M&Ms®, Jordan almonds, nonpareils, pastel confetti disks, chocolate-covered sunflower seeds, sprinkles, gummy and mellocreme shapes, and—of course—jelly beans. Sprinkle additional candies on the cake plate for added decoration.

In a cocktail shaker, combine 1 ounce Smirnoff® Fluffed Marshmallow Vodka, 1 ounce blue curaçao, and a handful of ice; shake. Strain into glass. Stir in 1 ounce light cream or half-and-half. Sprinkle with ground nutmeg. Cut a slit in bottom of a Peep® chick and place on rim of glass. Makes 1 serving.
