May Day Oasis
When everyone has finished up the last bit of ham and brisket, retire to your yard and treat guests to delectable desserts and cocktails under a cascade of springtime decorations.
Spring Things
Add vintage style to your outdoor soiree using the Garden Oasis Twain Collection. This five-piece seating set can be found at your local Kmart store or on Kmart.com, where you can also find cake stands, ribbons, vases, and other party accents.
Flying Colors Blossoms
Blooming too slow? Raise fags from one end of the yard to the other. Buy scrapbook papers in a variety of spring- time hues and patterns. Cut papers into triangles, then punch three holes along the top edge of each triangle. Measure the needed length of ribbon, string it through the holes, and hang.
Prop a faux-moss covered bunny in a ceramic bucket on a bit of florist foam. Fill in with Easter Eggs.
Colorful Cookies
To make these little thumpbrints, roll reserved dough from Lollipop Flower Cookies into one inch balls. Dip them into egg white, then in sanding sugar. Set balls on cookie sheet and gently press thumb into centers to make a small depression. Bake cookies for 10 minutes at 350°F. Remove from oven and press centers back down with a teaspoon. Return cookies to oven and bake until edges are golden, 10 to 12 minutes. Fill each with 1 teaspoon jelly, jam, or curd.
