Camping Cookout
Sleep under the stars. Feast in the great outdoors. Catch lightning bugs. This fun Father’s Day celebration is a great way to spend some quality time with Dad. It feels like a real getaway but can be rolled out just a few footsteps from your back door.
Clever Cans
Light the night with a glowing tribute to Dad. Using a pencil, mark hole locations in dots to spell out one letter per can. Use a drill to punch the holes. Cut a birch log into three 4-inch sections and attach each can to the top of a log with a nail. Place candles in each can.
Flickering Friends
All you need to make these charming glow bugs are glow sticks, pipe cleaners, and a hot glue gun or bottle of regular glue. Cut the pipe cleaners into stripes, dots or furry feet (for the centipede). Coil some into round heads and shape others into curly antennae. Glue the pipe cleaner pieces onto the glow sticks to create furry friends. Once activated, they’ll glow for 4 to 5 hours.
