Lovely Lemons

Lemons are highly astringent and fragrant, which makes the citrus fruit an ideal green cleaner and deodorizer.  Make a thing paste of lemon juice and salt or baking soda and use it to clean counter tops, remove mineral deposits from sinks, and to zap tarnish on copper and brass.  Add a squeeze or two of fresh lemon juice to the water in steam irons or room humidifiers.  Or add the juice of a few lemons to your washing machine’s rinse cycle to leave laundry with a lasting clean scent.
