Autumn Leaf Cookies
INGREDIENTS
1 tube refrigerated sugar cookie dough 16.5 ounces
yellow, red, and green liquid food coloring
flour for dusting
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Divide dough into 3 equal portions and place each in a small bowl. Gradually tint dough in bowls yellow, red, or green.
On a lightly floured surface, drop small portions of each tinted dough close together in a random pattern. Roll out dough to a 1/8 inch thickness. Cut cookies using a 3-inch leaf-shaped cutter. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Using the tip of a paring knife, cut veigns into dough.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until no indentations remain when touched in center. Transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Autumn leaf cookies make a festive fall party favor. Just wrap in cellophane and tie with twine.
