Hot Buttered Rum
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup butter softened
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 container natural apple cider 64-ounce
2 cups dark rum Bacardi® Select®
Garnish: cinnamon sticks
INSTRUCTIONS
In a small bowl, combine butter, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Place in the middle of a 12x12-inch piece of plastic wrap. Fold plastic wrap over butter mixture, and shape into a log, twisting ends to seal. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
In a large saucepan, heat cider over medium heat just until bubbles appear (do not boil). Remove from heat. Remove spiced butter from plastic wrap, and cut into 1-inch pieces. Add to hot cider, stirring to combine.
Ladle cider into mugs; top each with 1/4 cup rum. Garnish with cinnamon sticks, if desired.
