Creamy Cocoaccino
INGREDIENTS
3 cups half and half
1 tablespoon instant coffee
1/2 cup coffee liqueur such as Bailey’s
4 envelopes hot cocoa mix such as Swiss Miss, 1-ounce
1/2 pint heavy cream
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Chocolate shavings for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
In a medium pot over medium heat, warm the half and half until it is steaming, do not let it boil. Whisk in the instant coffee, coffee liqueur, and cocoa mix. Keep warm while you whip the cream.
In a cold bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until it forms soft peaks. (can substitute whipped topping)
Pour the cocoaccino into mugs, dollop with whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings.
